The Song of Songs

This portfolio is based in the book The Song of Songs of King Solomon. It is about two lovers that have been forced to separate, but that desperately look for each other. The works is made in dry point over zinc, size 3 ⅜ x  3 ⅜, year 1975.

Like pomegranate halves, your cheeks

The king has brought me to his bed chambers.

Such is my lover

Why should I be like one wandering

We have a little sister

I am a flower of Sharon

But my lover had turned and gone!

They have taken off my robe

My own vineyard I did not take care of.

Feeding among the lilies

Sixty are the queens

For see, the winter is past
