This portfolio is based on the poem by Juan Antonio Corretjer, journalist, poet and political activist. It was written when he was imprisioned in the jail of La Princesa jail in San Juan. It includes seven art works, from which four are shown here. The technique used is xilography in Alicea's own handmade paper from native fibers like majagua, cotton, bamboo and japanese Moriki red paper, year 1970. |
