Los Perros
(The Dogs) 
Homage to Abelardo Díaz Alfaro

The mural “Los Perros” (The Dogs) is based on the story by puertorrican author Abelardo Díaz Alfaro. This is the story of an old horse named Rucio that is routinely harassed by a pack of dogs, lead by a vicious black dog which ultimately drives Rucio to take his own life.
The mural shows the last attack of the dogs to Rucio, moments before this one commits suicide by jumping into a deep bluff.
 
The Mural is made in fused paper, collage and acrylic over wood. Measures are 6’ by 13’. Collection of the Puertorrican Institute of Culture.
